This Week On Treasure Island Oldies

April 24th, 2011 to April 30th, 2011

It's great to be back with our two live streams, as both the Windows Media and Real Media are working great. The Real Media stream was the culprit, but fortunately it is back up and running just fine once again. And thanks for your comments and feedback. And if you'd like to hear the show on your mobile smartphone, it's easy. You can download an app called Wunder Radio and available here. One downloaded you can listen to the Live show via this link for the live stream: http://meta.insinc.com/treasure/treasure.asx. And this is the link for the 24/7 Stream: http://treasureislandoldies.com/ContinuousTIO_2.asx.

Some congratulations are in order this week. Long time listeners and good friends Rick and Connie Canode in Madison, Wisconsin, are celebrating their 25th Anniversary next week. All the best Rick and Connie, and have a great holiday in Philadelphia. Matt Meaney, a good friend, listener and producer of the weekly feature Hits From Across The Pond with Fay Greenwood, is one proud father. His son Ken got married this past weekend in Washington State. From all accounts, it was a great event. If you have a special event coming up in your family that you would like to share with the Treasure Island Oldies listeners, please let me know. Send an email to michael@treasureislandoldies.com.

Speaking of celebrations, next week on the show it's the 14th Anniversary of Treasure Island Oldies and we'll be having a party for sure. Join us for the live show Sunday, May 1st and afterward you can listen on the Archive. I invite you to call our 24/7 Listener Line at 206-339-0709 to record your anniversary greeting or you can send in am email to michael@treasureislandoldies.com. I really look forward to celebrating 14 years of the show with you next week.

If you have a birthday coming up, I'd like to help celebrate it with all the Treasure Island Oldies listeners. Send the details of your birthday to birthdays@treasureisdlandoldies.com. I'll then wish you Happy Birthday on the show and also play our official birthday song for you, Birthday by The Beatles.

The Treasure Island Oldies Blog is playing Jay And The Americans in a live performance of Cara Mia. Man that Jay Black could sing. Enjoy!

Voice Your Choice presents Little Anthony And The Imperials with two of their many hit songs for your votes: Tears On My Pillow and Shimmy Shimmy Ko-Ko-Bop. Which song would you like to hear? Cast you vote at the Voice Your Choice page and we'll play the winner in the 3rd hour of next week's 14th Anniversary Special.

Let the world know you're a proud listener of Treasure Island Oldies. Send in your name, photo, city and province or state for the Listener Gallery to michael@treasureislandoldies.com and our Webmaster, Eddy Fisher, will post it on the Listener Gallery page along with the many already received.

You can also let all your friends know you enjoy the show with your personal Treasure Island Oldies Email Signature. A selection of complimentary signatures to be placed at the end of your outgoing emails is available for download. Click Goodies on the upper menu on any page on the website. Thanks to the many folks that have downloaded their own copy of the Email Signature. That's great!

I hope you have a great week and see you next Sunday for the live show.

Bye for now.

Michael
