The Association were a Los Angeles, California based band. In a time when many studio session musicians, such as the legendary
Wrecking Crew, played all the instruments and only the singers actually participated in the recording session, The Association were the exception. They played their instruments on their recording sessions and sang all their own lead vocals and vocal harmonies.
