Your Island Update for the Week of December 13th, 2015

December 13th, 2015 to December 19th, 2015
I feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas! In this case however, I'm so excited to bring you the 19th Annual Christmas Special next week. The Live show will be next Sunday, December 20th and the Archive will available throughout the holidays. In the meantime, it was great to play a wide variety of Christmas songs for you on this week's show. And thanks for your requests; I was pleased to play them for you.

I'd like to congratulate Charles Foulk from Charleston, South Carolina, the final winner of the 18th Anniversary Contest. Charles chose the classic Hot Rod Gang poster, which will be on its way to him courtesy TNJ Poster Creations. It's been a great year celebrating the 18th Anniversary of Treasure Island Oldies and it's been wonderful having TNJ Poster Creations as the contest sponsor all year!

Happy Birthday wishes go out to Mike Vercellotti in Downers Grove, Illinois. If your birthday is coming up, be sure to let me know by sending the details to birthdays@treasureislandoldies.com. I'll wish you Happy Birthday on the show and also play Birthday by The Beatles for you.

Mark your calendar for the first new show of 2016 when we'll have our annual New Year Dance Party, Live, Sunday, January 3rd, 2016.

The Treasure Island Oldies Blog will be back right after the holidays with another year of videos for your enjoyment.

Voice Your Choice will also return in the New Year and the first artist to be spotlighted will be Bobby Freeman. You can cast your vote right now at the Voice Your Choice page for either C'Mon And Swim or Do You Wanna Dance. I'll play the winning song on the New Year's Dance Party on Sunday, January 3rd.
Here's the Rock & Roll News Podcast for the week of December 14th

Listen to the Top 5 Countdown from 1959.

That's a wrap for this week. I sure look forward to your company next week for the 19th Annual Christmas Special. Take care and have a good week.

Bye for now.

Michael
