She was born Margaret Battivio in Landsale, Pennsylvania. In 1963 when she was only 15 years old, she recorded a song that had originally been a hit in French called Chariot. With English lyrics written for the melody, it became I Will Follow Him.

This week the Treasure Island Oldies Top 5 Countdown is from 1963 and at the top of the chart was Little Peggy March with I Will Follow Him.
